Hold on to your seats ladies and gentlemen, here comes the WordPress theme Visual available at ThemeForest.net.  This theme is one of the most dynamically edited WordPress layouts to display more as a CMS than a blogging app.

The back end is simplified and does not have a complicated back end admin panel to adding or editing content.  The theme does have a couple requirements in order to work:

• Visual uses TimThumb for automatically generating all the thumbnails. TimThumb requires the GD library, which is available on any host sever with PHP 4 .3+ installed. NOTE : Images need to be on your own server.
• You might need Museo 700 in order to properly edit the PSD files provided with the theme.

The feature list as per the designer:

• Three built in color schemes and and a very flexible skinning system that allows you to create your own skins, while keeping the layout intact. And you can do it in under 5 min!
• Very clean and simple artice carousel, allowing you to bring back some of your favorite articles or the articles you really want your users to read.
• Easy way to edit the categories that should be part of the main menu, the category blocks featured on the homepage as well as the posts that should show up in the Featured Articles section.
• Smart scripting that prevents duplicate article links, ensuring more of your content will be featured on the homepage.
• Two widget ready sidebars (one for the main category pages, one for the single pages and archive pages), as well as customization for WP-Polls and FlickrRSS.
• Clever visual navigation inside the single article page and thumbnail integration for the archive pages, both ensuring more page views.
• sIFR implemented for block and widget titles, for an even nicer look and feel
• You get all the main design source files (6 files), both in PSD and in layered PNG (I personally use Fireworks)

Well, they’ve done it again!  Another great theme by RocketTheme, this one’s called SolarSentinel.  When we first opened our morning RSS reads and noticed that RocketTheme had delivered it’s May ‘09 theme slightly early, our hearts started pounding with excitement and could not wait to test it out.  Thus far we have only tested the front end of the template via their demo, and what a beauty of a job they have done.  Can’t wait to try out all of their new extensions. Through design and development, WordPress is evolving right in front of our eyes, and here is a theme that is part of that transformational force.  The Inspiration WordPress theme by mascaradesign is best used for a magazine style message delivery, that is our opinion, but as the author suggests it will do well for community or thematic blog reporting as well, and rightfully so. Magazine o’Tuts theme is a perfect choice if one is looking at setting up a review/tutorial or general community site using WordPress.  It definately has the overall feel of the tuts+ Network of sites, which has a proven track record that this format works.  One item, that almost everyone at the ThemeLoft.com review team had immediately noticed was the lack of breadcrumbs, but that should not stop anyone from purchasing this beatuty.  That is easily added via a plugin.
