Hold on to your seats ladies and gentlemen, here comes the WordPress theme Visual available at ThemeForest.net.  This theme is one of the most dynamically edited WordPress layouts to display more as a CMS than a blogging app.

The back end is simplified and does not have a complicated back end admin panel to adding or editing content.  The theme does have a couple requirements in order to work:

• Visual uses TimThumb for automatically generating all the thumbnails. TimThumb requires the GD library, which is available on any host sever with PHP 4 .3+ installed. NOTE : Images need to be on your own server.
• You might need Museo 700 in order to properly edit the PSD files provided with the theme.

The feature list as per the designer:

• Three built in color schemes and and a very flexible skinning system that allows you to create your own skins, while keeping the layout intact. And you can do it in under 5 min!
• Very clean and simple artice carousel, allowing you to bring back some of your favorite articles or the articles you really want your users to read.
• Easy way to edit the categories that should be part of the main menu, the category blocks featured on the homepage as well as the posts that should show up in the Featured Articles section.
• Smart scripting that prevents duplicate article links, ensuring more of your content will be featured on the homepage.
• Two widget ready sidebars (one for the main category pages, one for the single pages and archive pages), as well as customization for WP-Polls and FlickrRSS.
• Clever visual navigation inside the single article page and thumbnail integration for the archive pages, both ensuring more page views.
• sIFR implemented for block and widget titles, for an even nicer look and feel
• You get all the main design source files (6 files), both in PSD and in layered PNG (I personally use Fireworks)

Simply put, this is an amazing WordPress theme by mlando at ThemeForest.net.  FolioPhoto is a great clean, crisp easy to navigate and administrate theme with all the tools you need to get up and running with your new site.   One really nice feature of the theme is that there are no plugin’s required in order for it to operate as is in the demo, so no continuous plugin updates required and wondering if the plugin is compatible with your version of theme of WordPress.  As mentioned in our previous posts we are huge fans of these portfolio themes, specially the ones that seperate the portolio categories and navigation menus from the blog and article contents.

A wonderful clean, simple and fast loading colorful WordPress template called A Classy Theme available at Themeforest.net.  The theme itself is a two column theme with the option setting in the admin area to use it as a single column design.  Below the header is a slick row of thumbnail images displaying the latest articles.  The other nice feature is that it separates the showcase portfolio categories from the blog categories.  This is a must if you want to deliver more content as articles than simply using the theme for a gallery.

Here is a wonderful example of a great WordPress designed theme that is jam packed with built in features.  It’s called Wave: a video centric theme available through Themeforest.net.  The theme comes in two flavors that is editable via the back end and lets you choose between a grunge and clean look.  Another really cool feature is that you can change a setting in the template admin section to not look for a video and potentially use it for other types of reviews. Here is a really interesting one off WordPress theme called Sofa YellowPress, this one is available at Theme Forest.  One of the main differences this theme displays is that it is geared towards user generated content, which is a great way to interact with your audiences.

The theme has two operating modes, paid and free.  Running the theme option in paid mode, requires the would be poster to pay prior to adding their content.  Payments are done via PayPal and the payment process is fully automatic, “set it and forget it”. <-(OK so we got that quote from watching late night television).  Within the admin mode, you are able to set the expiry date and if there is an option to renew and how much that would be.
